What did you do all day?
Have you ever asked yourself, ‘What did I do all day?’ What about your managers or clients? Do they ever ask you ‘What did you do all week?’ Yeah. Us too. That’s why we created TaskMetrics as our first product so we can use it ourselves. TaskMetrics is the application that focuses on keeping track of time spent on tasks... and reflecting upon gathered data at the end of the day.
When we first started writing this application, it was only meant to help us fill out timesheets for management and clients. But as time passed, we started to record time spent on other things such as sleep, commute, and one particular online social network site (yes… Facebook). TaskMetrics allowed us to see that we don’t really spend our time the way we intended. We began putting in efforts to alter how we spent our days. The result? Productivity.
We designed TaskMetrics minimize the effort on keeping track of time spent. We figured people can do whatever they want with the end results (records), and we kept our focus only on providing a tool that accurately records time with minimal effort.
If you are someone who wants to improve how you spend your life day by day, we think you will definitely appreciate TaskMetrics. If it ends up helping you fill out your timesheets at the end of the week, that's nice too, but we think you will appreciate the way it provides you a way to reflect upon your time spent so that you can improve how you spend your time in the future.
